Dear teacher and classmates:

I am very glad to make a speech here in this class again! This time, I'dlike to talk something about English.

I love English. English language is now used everywhere in the world. Ithas become the most common language on Internet and for international trade.Learning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

When I was seven, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, Iplayed games and sang English songs with other children . Then I discovered thebeauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.

Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch Englishcartoons.

On the weekend, I often go to the English corner. By talking with differentpeople there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oralEnglish.

I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America tovisit Washington Monument, because the president Washington is my idol. Ofcourse, I want to go to London too, because England is where English languagedeveloped. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university, I will be veryhappy.

I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. I'll introduce Chinato them, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Anshan.

I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hardstudy, one day I can speak English very well.

If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So Ibelieve as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, today i am so happy to stand here to giveyou a speech.Or rather, a real story of mine.

Though with time going by,i can still remember what you once told me.Youshould be a brave girl.Smiling, you looked into my eyes.Year in,year out, nearlymost of my memories are fading little by little. But only this simple sentenceremained, without being forgotten in my life.

Again and again,i can not stop myself from thinking about it.Soordinary, but so impressive,so moving, just like the brightest sunshine,it helpsme go through the darkest night.I am such a sensitive girl in your heart.Yousaid,my sorroful facial epression made feel so distersssed. However, there is onething i never tell you, that is ,i am becoming a big girl gradually with yourwords and smiles.I never tell you about it,for i believe oneday, you can see thegreat changes of mine for yourself. That is what i want to do in return. As iknow, that will be the best gift for you.

I suddenly think of a song named MY HEART WILL GO ON.There is a beautifulsentence going like this. You are safe in my heart.More than once,i was moved totears by it.I know ,i am also safe in your heart.i have already forgotten when itold you i was going to leave for Australia this summer holiday. You just smiledas usual, gently speaking.Whatever you decide to do,i will be in favor of it,but, just onething, remember, when you fell lonely abroad,do not forget we are here, praying for you.We are all around you,far across the distance and space betweenus.i closed my eyes, the flashback started. The memories we had together, once weplayed games on the palyground,we played jokes on each other, you always wrote alot of sentences on my articles to encourage me.And the most unforgetablething, you told me,you believed m i could be a big girl.Sooner or later.

At that specific moment,i suddenly understood the meaning of this sentencetotally. So on that day,i smiled as you used to,looking at you.The last words isaid were, keep walking in sunshine.

Yes,keep walking in sunshine.I said to you ,also to myself.I know i am notalone wiht your company, and we can keep walking in sunshine till the last minuteof our days.

I promise,i will be a big girl.

I promise,i will be a brave girl.

I promise,i will keep walking in sunshine.

That is my speech,thank you!

英语讲话稿3

Good afternoon ,ladies and gentlemen!

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! To begin with,I want to ask a question .Does everybody dream a good dream last night?Actually ,today I want to talk about dream with you. Of course, What I want totalk is not a dream you have last night, but a dream—— about life.

Everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different lifestage, and we need dreams to support us. Dreams are like the stars we never reachin the sky,but like most mariners(水手),we can chart our course by them. With thedream,we have a direction, with a direction, we were no longer confused. With thedream, there is hope,With hope, we have the strength to fight.

But I know, life is tough, and there are always ups and downs, maybe we failin the way to our aims, and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, thedream in our heart can always comfort us, encourage us ,and support us to moveahead .

Young!Fortunately, I am young now. Just due to it, I know that nothing isimpossible.I firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way. If

I can't realize my dream,it result from that I haven't work harder enoughand I won't find other ecuses. If no people believe you, you can make it toprove that you are right. If you think the god haven't blessed you and there isno truth here, you can become the god and create the truth.

"My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword isfamous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains." At some time inthe past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements. Eachachievement results from my hard work. I always believe that "If you want tohave more achievements than others, you must work harder."

In some etent, the dream is the hope. If you can insist on doingsomething, the victory will come.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird thatcannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren fieldfrozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams.Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

Let's go !

Thank you for your listening!

A: Hello, everyone! I am very glad to share my topic with you. Then wedlike to talk something about Mid-Autumn festival today. My name is .

B: My name is . So, , can you make some introductions about theMid-Autumn festival?

A: Okay. The Mid-Autumn festival is a very important Chinese festival. Itfalls on the 15th day of August. It is a time for family members and loved onesto congregate and enjoy the full moon, which is an

auspicious symbol of abundance, harmony and luck. On the evening there willbe a big family dinner. After dinner, people usually taste delicious moon cakesof many varieties with a good cup of hot

Chinese tea, while children run around with their brightly-lit lanterns. They can also look back on the past and look forward to the future together. Bythe way, do you know what the meaning behind this holiday is?

B;Mid-Autumn festival probably began as a harvest festival. The festivalwas later given a mythological flavor with legends of Chang-E, the beautifullady in the moon. According to Chinese mythology, the earth once had 10 sunscircling over it. One day, all 10 suns appeared together, scorching the earthwith their heat. The earth was saved when a strong archer, Hou Yi, succeeded inshooting down 9 of the

suns. As his reward, the Heavenly Queen Mother gave Hou Yi the Eliir ofImmortality .But his wife, Chang-E drank it. Then she became the Moon Fairy. Thus started the legend of the lady in the moon to whom young Chinese girlswould pray and people would sacrifice at the Mid-Autumn Festival.

A: Referred to legends, there is another one I want to share with all ofyou. During the Yuan Dynasty, China was ruled by the Mongolian people. The kingof them was very cruel. An underground group led by Zhu Yuanzhang was determinedto rid the country of Mongolian dominance. The moon cake was created to carry asecret message. When the cake was opened and the message read, an uprising wasunleashed which successfully routed the Mongolians. What followed was theestablishment of the Ming Dynasty. Today, moon cakes are eaten to commemoratethis event.

B: Wow! How clever he is! In my hometown lies in the Minnan area, there isa custom in Mid-Autumn Festival called Moon-cake gambling. All the game requiresare si dice and a china bowl. Just throw the dice into the bowl and thedifferent pips you get stand for different ranks of awards you will win. Theactivity was invented by Zheng Chenggong to help relieve homesickness among histroops during Mid-Autumn Festival. Now, iamen people still believe that theperson, who wins "Zhuangyuan" in the game, will have good luck that year. Andthe Mid-Autumn Festival is the second important holiday in iamen besides SpringFestival.

A: Sounds interesting! The winner of Moon-cake gambling can taste deliciousmoon cakes! I usually looked forward to the Mid-Autumn Festival during childhoodbecause I could eat various tastes of moon cakes. The custom of eating mooncakes appeared in the Tang Dynasty. Ancient moon cake was eaten as a sacrifice(祭品)in the Mid-Autumn Festival. Due to the passage of time, the moon cake hasbeen changed into the Mid-Autumn Festival’s food and gifts. In the enening, family members worship the moon, and then the housewife cut moon cake by themembers of the family. Who shares moon cake more averagely, who will have moregood luck.

B: I also enjoy moon cakes. It is believed that the moon is at herbrightest on this night. The round shape of moon cakes symbolizes not only themoon but also the unity of the family. By the way, ecept moon cakes, I alsohear that in Taiwan, barbecuing meat outdoors has become a widespread way tocelebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Different areas celebrate the Mid-AutumnFestival in different ways, but the wishes of enjoying the moon and gettingtogether with families are the same. As the moon rises, we share it at the sametime no matter we are together or far apart.

A: That’s all. Thank you for listening.

英语讲话稿5

The mid-autumn festival has all interesting history. long ago in one of thedynasties of china there was a king who was very cruel to the people and did notmanage the country well. the people were so angry that some brave ones suggestedkilling the king. so they wrote notes telling about the meeting place and timeand put them into cakes. on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every person wastold to buy the cakes. when they ate them they discovered the notes. so theygathered together to make a sudden attack on the king.

From then on the chinese people celebrate on the 15th day of the 8th lunarmonth and eat "moon cakes" in memory of that important event. when themid-autumn festival is near, shop windows are beautifully decorated. many "mooncakes" are displayed for people to buy. people send presents such aswine, fruitsand "moon cakes" to their friends and relatives.

In the evening of the day, they have a feast. after the feast, they go outto the garden to look at the moon. the children run and laugh on thestreets.

It is believed that the moon is at her brightest on this night.

Many poemshave been written about it, and poets are never tired of reading and writingsuch poems. in chinese literature, the moon of the mid autumn festival has beencompared to a looking-glass, a jade rabbit, and so on. it seems that chineseliterature takes far more interest in the moon than in the sun.
